BHAGAT- The ‘Right knight’

BHAGAT- The ‘Right knight’

On the rope, the knot was tight: the mask, to close the light
Who fight to emancipate, to let us know the colors of fight
Colors of ‘basant’ he recites, to show the ‘whites’ on the throne
The plight of the down-trodden. For nation alone, he doesn’t fight
But to ignite the fainting hope, the spark from within alone.
He did ignite to fight, but not alone. The brothers and sisters died
They tried to put off the strife and render that independence.

Bhagat- his smile was brave enough, to scatter the flock
Of the frightened but weak minds of the “polity-stricken’
His smile was brave, to loose the chains and the knot
Of the rope. The knot around the neck, the knot of the rope
To stop the flow of blood, to stop the hope; the vertigo, the pain
They follow to be insane for the sane of the heterogeneous culture.

Bhagat- tried to emancipate, to free, everyday who fly
In the planes of thoughts to knock
The doors of the legitimate, he fly in the dry
World of people, who cries but denies
To know the ‘bhagat’, to know beyond
The meaning of a ‘terrorist’.

The politics, the parties from old times. They play the bands
Smiles they seek, to coat the vote
Of shattered pieces, pieces of the land.
Whites are gone and browns are ruling.
It endorses the way he speaks- the Bhagat

Bhagat- he speaks, he sees, he writes, he seeks
He cares, he murders for the browns, unknowingly his age.
Army men in the BSF, we see the fight, we see them fight
To save the plight.
They die for the nation, they show their love
Bound by their families, unknowingly their age, they rage
They murder, they die, they cry, they feel
The empathy of the enemies. Bounded they are
The rope of the ‘shrinked-love’ of the multi-partisan men
Who cries, who tries to emancipate the party ‘only’.

Bhagat- in millions, the army of the nation
The army of a single entity.
Younger he was, loaded with the guns of wisdom
To vanish the nexus of age, to plough the field of minds.
The world is new; the dreams are new, for the new
Thoughts; let’s make Bhagat from within to emancipate
The ‘Right knight’ of the humanity…

Life Psychel - Cycle to cycle

Life Psychel

Balance it to move it

The sound on road, the rubber you wear
On your round tyres, you make sound on road.
My legs, your tyres, your way to support the  world
The legs, the hearts, the rising adrenaline like a toad

Through paddles, the rising graph of the ECG
You hold, you hold the breath, holding the waist
Of the lover, molding the heart, lovely girl on the back
Round the waist, her hands around
You make me exercise; I remember you make me sound

Your tyres, the handle support the structure of heavy
Body of people, Body of the unseen driver in the car
To steer the pace of the envy, you make me savvy
To handle the rising need in the past you handle the tone
My legs have flesh, femur and tibia- the hardest bone
You follow our health, I regret, the days I spent with you
To school, with loads of books and bag, you follow, you do
A favor, you bring the way, to sweat glands, the pores
The pores of lazy minds, the pores of heart, you do
You make us follow the path to strive, to work, to know the time.

Rough roads on earth, like the rough ideas of the smooth
But rich and poor from within, people; the drivers
Of the car, I regret; I put you in the jar of the hard but soft
Metal of thoughts, like our fragile need for the temporary black gold.
Your need, your way to health; your seat to support, to hold
The falling system, the system of psychology, to touch the top
Of an endless roof, to make us feel proud to take and shop
The car of dream, the multi million Mercedes, way to rich
I dream, I seek, I want to drive, and I am not bad
You are the past, I m the present, but the truth I know
I know, you are my psychology, you can’t be sad..

Cycle of life round the clock, running through minds
The ideas to secure the wheel of fortune, to rewind
The time of past, to ring the bell through sounds of love
Through happy minds and fellows, I admire you all,
I admire the drivers of car who forget not you but own.
Your absence lies in minds, not real. Your need lies in the tone
Of happy and healthy people to make the cycle, to give birth
To the era of incessant but round  tyres of immortal thoughts
To feel the beauty of cycle of life…

SPARROW (Gift of God’s treat)

      SPARROW
    (Gift of God’s treat)

My sweet little bird, I see, I love, I like
The way you chirp, the way you tweet.
With ambitions and strife, my head is replete
You make me happy, you look so sweet
Little jumps of yours, asserting the life’s way.
With beauty and cuteness, you make me to sway.
The bad is in the world, the bad is in our thoughts
Love is in you, love is in your melody, you tweet
For the world, you chirp you show the love in you.
With small eyes, with innocence you see
The world with glittering eyes
For everybody, you chirp expunging the gap of caste
For love you tweet, if not first! Also not in the last.
You tweet, I see, I love, I like the way you tweet
For your small babies, I see, you tweet.
To make us follow the sun of morning
To endorse the lovely way of life.
Through melodies, you render the peace
To enlighten the black and dark strife.

You make us awake, you make us aware
I’m sorry; we ungrateful people make you alone
To die silently and to stare at the towers of science
This makes your light feathers to fly in the air.

Our love is small, we know; we know the meaning
We know the romance; we know the lust, the way to flirt.
But, yours is big, bigger than us
That makes you to chirp
Forever you chirp, forever you tweet
You are one of the cutest
Gifts of God’s treat……………….

BUDGET (2011-2012) - THE PARODY OF A LAYMAN

Budget (2011-2012)

SPEAKS

Yesterday, when I woke up at around 9 AM, the very first thing which made me curious and on my toes is the torn- pieces of Indian map scattered around my blanket. “How it happens”? I think for a moment but then I came to know that somehow it became victim of a naughty yet ignorant chap from my neighborhood. I didn’t worry for that map because I bought it for just 20 rupees and I like kids, may be this might be the reason that why I was not too much angry But what makes me worried is the newspaper when I saw the budget of present year. I am weak in economics and it was a great trouble for me to analyze and understand the ‘common target’ of our budget. Why Sonia Gandhi couldn’t afford to give a welcome speech on the television if she really wants something good for so called ‘Aam-aadmi’ in the budget, which is and should be the target of every ruling government. Eventually, it is not possible but In fact every policy’s reflection can easily be seen on the face of every common man. Probably, We can’t expect Sonia Gandhi or ManMohan Singh to give the definition of ’Fiscal deficit’ or ‘GDP’ in front of 65 percent illiterate people. Nobody is yearning for that except the owners of imports, exports, SEZs, industries and none other than politicians or bureaucrats who bare handedly took over the charge to fulfill the needs of their ‘Khaas’ men who are none other than industrialists or businessmen. The weaknesses of PPP are well known to all educated business men. The language which newspapers use is not favorable for a common layman but one who is preparing for civil services may show a keen interest in it to get good marks by good understanding of a good budgetary process. We want NDA government to prepare a moral budget for morally weak sections and it should be the first priority. The clear definition of ‘morally weak section’ is not easy to establish because these sections can be with or without any privileges. The opposition parties are criticizing the budget for not including any benefits for unemployment and inflation but they can not deny the fact that budget of 2011 is prepared midst of high challenging situations of corruption, scams and Inflationary breakdown. It is not completely dubious yet it is not satisfactory for a common naïve person who always acts more like an amateur in the game of national budget. The torn pieces of my map can be uncountable but we can easily count the torn pieces of Indian budgetary- politics which is more or less favorable for ‘Khaas’ and not ‘Aam- aadmi’. We need to see the budget from a common man’s view because a common person like me is always seen lost in the vague perceptions regarding the government and budgetary process. It is understanding and not innovation which can escalate the flow of more funds towards the empty pockets of an ever desiring layman. It is true that “we don’t need more government, we need better government” – the sole dedicated slogan of modern management science. Let’s take a lap from these ideal talks and ponder about the hard material of how an Indian mind responds after reading the budget speech...

It would be better now If we don’ think about negative side of India- scams and huge monetary losses. Unwillingly we should now aggregate our thoughts to understand the budget but this understanding is helpful; thank god! You give us something except ignorance! Luckily, Finance minister tried to curb the inflation by new initiatives and investments to increase the supply of specific food items such as edible oil, vegetables, pulses and milk. I can easily guess that more than half of the elite and educated classes don’t like milk products and oil too much. In a recent survey, it is being said that milk products are the worst cause of causing cancer and countries having less milk consumption has a low malignancy rate. But to some extent , I think, the measures taken by honorable finance minister would be in favor of ‘khaas-aadmi’ because poor and middle class will take away all the cholesterol- rich milk and hence saves the ‘khaas’ from cancer and heart diseases. Vegetables and pulses prices are expected to come down. It is surely good news because At least Indian government midst of all the scams and opposition pressures pulled India out of the blues of global recession last year and it is a fact that we are now among the fastest growing economies of the world. Ministry of commerce has projected a growth rate of nine percent for this fiscal (2011-2012). The concessions in personal income tax will give a sigh of relief to the common man for sure but it is not up to the expectations because this is the point where ‘Aam- aadmi’ always shows his rage towards government. As the exact measure of annual income is intricate we cannot reach at a particular comfortable point where we can say that the tax incentive is good enough because the expectations of common man are always high and will always be. It is a fact that the common man today is now facing a lot in the name of social, economical and family responsibilities. Most of the youngsters are unemployed and are shamelessly relying on their parents for pocket- money. Well! Shouldn’t it be put in the tax coverage- the unprecedented extravagance of money by ‘unskilled youths’? For sure, it is a silly idea because common youth is even unaware of common budget and how can we put burden on ignorant Indians. The exemption limit raised for senior citizens from 2.4 lakh to 2.5 lakh is welcomed. Now I am happy that at least our ever- shaky government do something to foster the honor of shaky condition of older Indians. Current surcharge of 7.5 percent is reduced to 5 percent for domestic companies coupled with a customs and excise duty concessions for specific sectors. It definitely gives a boost to the internal industrial sector and indirectly increases employment opportunities in much of the industrial cities of India. Good news for slum dwellers and industrial workers but who cares about their salary structure then, which must be increased with this small liberalization. Company owners may be ‘Khaas’ to the aam politicians but is there any khaas scheme for common person working in the companies’ hierarchies- the managers, clerks, supervisors, technicians, workers, laborers who has equal right to wear branded clothes and enjoy their lives with handsome salaries. Government is also on the way to implement DTAT ( Double taxation avoidance treaty) with countries having illegal ‘Benaami’ accounts, carrying a wealth equal to the whole national income of our country. It is a good initiative but we expect transparency and a sound strategy to reveal the names of those unscrupulous account holders. Union government is also scrutinizing the state funding agencies providing funds during the elections to the parties. Business class gets the maximum benefit from the present budget due to the introduction of an integrated Goods and services tax and new direct tax code. Central excise duty is to be maintained at standard 10 percent which is pretty good for business men who are the drivers of economy and take active part in the production of agriculture and other consumer goods and services. The service tax net has been widened and high-end medical and legal services become more expensive but it hardly matters because some ‘khaas- men’ can easily afford it due to strong ‘jaan-pehchaan’ but it puts pressure on common man who strives for making his ‘jaan-pehchaan’ but all in vain. He is left with only long pending bills of hospitals and lawyers.

The government has provided significantly large share of Rs.1,60,887 crore, which is 17 percent more than the previous share for Education, Health, women, and children, affordable housing, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and minorities. You can easily count the number of torn and shredded parts of India, these are some parts. It makes difficult for budget makers to measure values through social and economical needs of these so called ‘less empowered’ group- Women, children, Scs, STs and minorities. But there is an error in the judgment of government about the empowerment of ‘less-empowered’ group, Government lacks understanding, the roots are hollow- The panchayati raj system proving itself to be a big failure in spite of a few positive cases in the southern part of India. The one foremost need is to spend wisely on the ‘self-actualization’ and self- esteem’ of the ‘less empowered’ persons by giving them direct benefits in the hands, door- to- door deliveries of privileges and sharing of experiences. “Funds are not funds, when they are in the pockets. Funds become funds when they are in the hands of the needy”. This doesn’t need any innovation but a sheer understanding. It’s simple yet too hard to commence. Education must be given at affordable prices and equally to all the strata of society without tearing the students into different categories and classes. ‘We can allure the poor by midday meal but prolific education is more associated with mind than stomach’. Here is an example in which Mr. Mukherjee has announced to replace the present system of kerosene, LPG and fertilizer subsidies by direct transfers of cash subsidies to BPL people. It is a laudable initiative and it is introduced on the line of Latin America which is practicing the same plan and it makes them successful in eliminating leakages and ensures the full amount of subsidies in the hands of people. We should try it, if it will be a success in India, it can be used to distribute other funds directly to the people. We can not completely held the government responsible for flaws in the budget because it is not an easy task to render essential goods and services to the ‘Aam- Aadmi’

The budget 2011-2012 brings with itself sad news for SEZs and its units having core IT sectors. Now they will have to give 20 percent of their income as MAT. The overall fiscal deficit is projected to come down from 5.1 per cent of the GDP in the current year to 4.6 per cent in 2011-2012 and the revenue deficit is expected to come down from 2.3 per cent of the GDP to 1.8 per cent. The crude oil prices has gone up in the recent weeks and it left the government with three choices- first, to increase the retail prices of petrol and diesel; secondly, to reduce the duties on petroleum products; lastly, to subsidies the under-recoveries of the oil marketing companies. It, surely, is not good news for young guys who like to spend more fuel on driving. Buses-fares would go-up significantly, People would prefer diesel cars than petrol, Transport charges would increase. This is what a common man is worrying about; it is for large business men who are enjoying some huge benefits in the name of Imports, exports, subsidies and international trade. I was trying to figure out the intricacies behind every aspect of budget because it is necessary, a good understanding is necessary for all of us. We are the consumers. But it is not fair to consider every one as consumer because we are producers also, we make the education, we make our children better by giving them our services, we give our services to the nation in the form of teachers, doctors, engineers, business men and workers. The source may be different but the target is same- Personal development. So, the government should respect at least these personal desires of common man. “Every body wants good budget but not everybody can easily talk about the good aspects of a wrong budget”. This is called understanding and Government should understand every aspect of an ‘Aam-aadmi’ in depth in order to mould it more effectively towards the welfare purposes, which is the sole motive of public administration. People should also equally contribute to the government programmes with much of the understanding and a robust attitude. The planning commission’s initiative for ameliorating the people’s participation concept is a good effort from government side, but the side of people must be good also in order to make it more effective. The budget 2011-2012 has a major flaw and I believe that it is the worst of all; it is the avoidance of law and order. It is a fact that, Good law and order is the soul of balanced nations and this soul is somewhere roaming around in the high skies of imagination but we need to bring it back to the earth in order to make people more disciplined. Government doesn’t even give clear views about educational development, environmental strategies and Green revolution.

It is an irony that even educated people like me always condone their own rights whose voracious use can be prolific, not for self but for all. What made me so much worried about the budget is that I couldn’t understand it completely due to lack of economical awareness. How Can I help the other 42 percent poor Indians who can’t even read a newspaper and for whom the meaning of budget is not more than their own livelihood and for whom everyday is dearer than any fiscal year? The scattered pieces of ‘Real-India’ are not materialistic, but idealistically India is divided. A child can tear the map of India but when an understanding person ruins it, he ruins it deeply by understanding more deeply. The budget of 2011-2012 is full of expectations, predictions, losses, failures, and hopes for a better state of India- Socially, economically and morally. After all, “Everybody needs valued money; it is the easy-to-understand religion of us”.

Teacher - A poem

A TEACHER

A silent wooden table lying in the front, Like a mountain
with high trees - Papers and Books.
Flowing through the fragrance of flowers of thoughts-
A vast river of knowledge with chants of wisdom.
Sitting on the throne with a pen playing in the hands
and thoughts; like cold breeze, flowing in the mind.
The work of a teacher is to set things right in the school
- bags and books. The world only knows this meaning.
They cant see the heat of sun, they are burning, from inside
but from outside through direct strike of ultraviolet rays --
They burn with the heat of ignorance.
The lucky part is ; knowing the meaning of a teacher.
The vivid nature of that entity--
It is like to open the sky with sheerness and
to fly high in the sky - Fearless . Just like
to feel the vibrant touch of a lovers hand with innocence and wisdom.
The true nature of learning lies in the nature,
which gives to the humanity - A Teacher
Entrusted with the duty to fill the empty pockets and ignite the brains
like a thunderstorm, like a rain shower which fills the empty holes of
the dried eyes of farmers looking for a new birth of prosperity.
The single entity resembles a round but sound Sun of life, the sun of nature
on which lies the secret of learning for trees and flowers of the student’s hearts.
One the source of knowledge; Second the source of light
One the source of service, second the source of energy
One fulfilling the warmth without knowing the dearth;
and second warmth the whole earth.
Endless- the nature of a teacher, the blue, black, red and green,
Colours of pens, The solidarity of the table, the weight of the books.
The rigid responsibilities, heavy and heavy – More heavy, but not for that entity.
The lightest, light of the lightest to save the light of the mightest,
A light not heavy teacher, light on mind, lightest thoughts
with understanding, to make every student fall in love, love with the books.
the words, the sentences, the meanings, to open the paragraph of life with
every line, every single curiosity, to make everyone fly on a teacher’s wings.
The flag of good marks and a cute smile after reaching on the top of that table of mountain.
The table of wood- hard of thoughts, just like a mother’s smile of purity , feeling the warmth of
her newborn, A pure nature’s gift, Not a baby but a miracle , The miracle of good marks
and good thoughts with good people all around taking the gifts in hands, ready to give
to a Teacher.
The true nature of God, the mother, the nature , and strong culpability lies on the shoulder
of a light but heavy teacher of the owner of mountains , trees and flowers
rendering a fragrance all around. Ready to accept any gift from the world of amateurs,
living in dark night; With a promise to accept every single perception as a gift, to gift, for gift
and with a gift of testimony to continue like a great river of teaching,
forgetting all the hurdles of hard and heavy heart of all but none.
To treach is human, to teach is divine...

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

On the path of scrambling life
we are never alone, just walking and watching

The beauty is around, ever and shining
Endorsing the love
That heart is notching.

Heralding the secrets behind two souls
The sounds are incessant loud and clear.

Sun goes dark behind the skies
Love has been rising in the eyes
 Yearning for an astounding flight
Warming  hands to hold them tight.
Which is in the beautiful skies
And too far but not too near.

Making too close the passion of mind
Lovers are seeking to make it kind
Free from lust and envy hearts
Love is watching, being a blind.

Lovely love is in the air
Lovely journey makes it fair.
Just going high and high and high
With feet on ground.

Strange but true that
Love is in the air.
Feel it.

CONQUERING CIVIL SERVICES

**How to conquer  civil services**

(Note- This is not a suggestion of any kind,  I believe in sharing)

The very first thing you should do is to be sure about your goal. You goal is civil services. In Hindi and Punjabi language Goal can be red as ‘gol’ or a circle which is round and having no end point. But this ‘goal’ is something different. It can be your desire to marry the most beautiful sexy lady in the town or it can be to built a skyscraper just in the middle of your hometown. No doubt, it needs money. Good wife and good life can only meet with lucky accidents. Now, your goal is not wife or good life! Right. I am not sure about good life because everybody strives for it. Though no one can be like Bapu ji. He was a brave man, he was selfless too yet you can be like him. How? Don’t be ‘no one’. Listen carefully, I said,” ‘No one’ can be like him. So, I think this should be your goal to refute everything which forces you to move for ‘ no one’. I am talking about your negative thoughts. Sometimes I feel very upset when a single thought of ‘shining AUDI’
silently comes to my mind and tease me. Audi is not my goal but it can lead me to ‘gol’ which is sometimes called anxiety, depression and emergence of a new aimless stupid.  I am not saying you to forget about Audi or beautiful fay or big house. Just try to save your hard work, time management strategy, good memory, long sitting hours, sound knowledge and most importantly, your optimism. Save them from ‘no one’. You are not ‘noone’, you are someone. Someone, who is special, prolific, voracious, immortal, hardworking, Rich, happy, honest and a successful civil servant. Be optimistic. Be a civil servant not devil servant. No doubt every civil servant today is enjoying his life. Most of them are corrupts. In Punjab retired civil servants prefer to go for gentleman farming. They are big land owners, businessmen and simply speaking Money-collectors. It looks like we are watching future version of zamindri system started previously by the British to ruin Indian poor, small and medium farmers and labourers. Be optimistic, Take help from all possible means and sources and I am sure these would never be scarce. Act like a civil servant, just try to mimic them but more psychological aspect needs to be focused. Don’t be envious, egoic and read your books and newspapers as if a civil servant is reading the magazine. Rest you know better. As a youngster I can easily feel this thing that the creativity of young mind is lost in fostering their interrelationships. They don’t get time to ponder for a moment about nation and society. Read this quote of Einstein (written at the end) and try to think because Thinking is the most difficult task according to Henry ford and this difficult task has the capability to make everything easy.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL CIVIL SERVICES ASPIRANT AND ALL LOVELY ASPIRANTS WHO WANT TO MAKE THEIR LOVED ONES PROUD ON THEIR COURAGEOUS ACT…..

KIND REGARDS

DOGS CAN CURE CANCER

Even DOGS CAN CURE CANCER

Is it possible? Do I need to give you some clarifications about this irrational talk? I don’t know but I get this true story through email. It gives me a lesson to share happiness among those who are sick and as a doctor I could feel some empathy also. I hope it could enlighten you as well. What other thing which I would like to say is somehow related to this story and is inextricably interwoven with our lives also. A thought which incessantly was trying to force me while I was reading this story is something weird but true. It is like “Love is not the game of two souls. It is the light of a single enlightened soul which has uncountable colors. Don’t shrink it with romance and lust only. World looks bright when we are enlightened with the true meaning of love. Meaningfully marriages are asserting the same in one way or other way” Even a dog know it’s meaning. If you have any pet, just try to have a look at it’s eyes. You would definitely get the answer that how a dog can cure cancer.

This really is  a great story you have ever red in your life

Lucky Dog.... By (unknown author)

Anyone who has pets will really like this. You'll like it even if you don't and you may even decide you need one!

Mary and her husband Jim had a dog named 'Lucky.'   Lucky was a real character.

Whenever Mary and Jim had company come for a weekend visit they would warn their friends to not leave their luggage open because Lucky would help himself to whatever struck his fancy.   Inevitably, someone would forget and something would come up missing.

Mary or Jim would go to Lucky's toy box in the basement and there the treasure would be, amid all of Lucky's other favorite toys.     Lucky always stashed his finds in his toy box and he was very particular that his toys stay in the box.

It happened that Mary found out she had breast cancer.   Something told her she was going to die of this disease......in fact;  she was just sure it was fatal.

She scheduled the double mastectomy, fear riding her shoulders.   The night before she was to go to the hospital she cuddled with Lucky.   A thought struck her....what would happen to Lucky?   Although the three-year-old dog liked Jim, he was Mary's dog through and through.

If I die, Lucky will be abandoned, Mary thought.  He won't understand that I didn't want to leave him!  The thought made her sadder than thinking of her own death.

The double mastectomy was harder on Mary than her doctors had anticipated and Mary was hospitalized for over two weeks.   Jim took Lucky for his evening walk faithfully, but the little dog just drooped, whining and miserable.

Finally the day came for Mary to leave the hospital.   When she arrived home, Mary was so exhausted she couldn't even make it up the steps to her bedroom.    Jim made his wife comfortable on the couch and left her to nap..

Lucky stood watching Mary but he didn't come to her when she called.    It made Mary sad but sleep soon overcame her and she dozed.

When Mary woke for a second she couldn't understand what was wrong.   She couldn't move her head and her body felt heavy and hot.   But panic soon gave way to laughter when Mary realized the problem.  She was covered, literally blanketed, with every treasure Lucky owned!

While she had slept, the sorrowing dog had made trip after trip to the basement bringing his beloved mistress all his favorite things in life.

He had covered her with his love.

Mary forgot about dying.   Instead she and Lucky began living again, walking further and further together every day.   It's been 12 years now and Mary is still cancer-free.   Lucky.   He still steals treasures and stashes them in his toy box but Mary remains his greatest treasure.

Remember.....live every day to the fullest.  Each minute is a blessing.  And never forget....the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards.   They are the ones that care for us.

If you see someone without a smile today give them one of yours!   Live simply.. Love seriously.   Care deeply.   Speak kindly.

 Kind Regards

  Harpreet

SHARING FOR CARING

 SHARING IS CARING for
HAPPINESS

Hello. The very first thing which I would like to expatiate with you is the very importance of thoughts and intuition in our lives. Simple living and high thinking might not be a good idea to live your life happily. Simplicity to me is by far not the only thing, we cannot think of a life without money and enjoyment. High thinking still persists in our society. Girls are ready to rub their shoulders with every legitimate man in the society, Young boys and girls are proving themselves with great zest and zeal to crumble the preconceptions of old, rigid and conservative society. We will have to make our world and our society capable enough to be the most adorable and loving place to live on. I am not talking about politics and good administration. It is a perception of equal rights, equality, love, respect for women or anything that can be attributed to a holistic development of our minds. I like learning things, for learning is something whose very inception lies in our society. Kindly have a look at the prolific thoughts of my ever favorite person ‘Albert Einstein’ who always give much importance to intuition and knowledge than university studies. After reading this you may feel that why most of the students feel bored and underestimated when they give up their studies at university or colleges. I often see them shattered by memories of past college days. But we always forget that true celebration is much more than parties and eating junctions and it survives forever...

  • "Imagination is more important than knowledge."
  • "The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education."
  • "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school."
  • “One had to cram all this stuff into one's mind for the examinations, whether one liked it or not. This coercion had such a deterring effect on me that, after I had passed the final examination, I found the consideration of any scientific problems distasteful to me for an entire year."
  • "A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space.

Let me end this boring talk and Please don’t misunderstand me. I am not suggesting anything to you. For me you are no less  imperative than  'Alladin ka chirag' because you have some hidden  assets which can be prolific not only for me but for you also. This is just a friendly talk. I call it ‘Sharing’.
If I can do that, everyone can do that. But sharing should always be positive and not one-sided. It should be holistic so that it will benefit both who shares.

The only imperative part of our life is ‘To share’ – Other name of happiness……Read further to understand sharing, a great tale of two seas...

A tale of Two Seas   by (Unknown author)

Sitting in the Geography class in school, I remember how fascinated I was whenwe were being taught all about the Dead Sea. As you probably recall, the Dead Sea is really a Lake, not a sea (and as my Geography teacher pointed out, if you understood that, it would guarantee 4 marks in the term paper!) Its so high in salt content that the human body can float easily. You can almost lie down and read a book! The salt in the Dead Sea is as high as 35% - almost 10 times the normal ocean water. And all that saltiness has meant that there is no life at all in the Dead Sea. No fish. No vegetation. No sea animals. Nothing lives in the Dead sea.

And hence the name: Dead Sea.

While the Dead Sea has remained etched in my memory, I don't seem to recall learning about the Sea of Galilee in my school Geography lesson. So when I heard about the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea and the tale of the two seas - I was intrigued. Turns out that the Sea of Galilee is just north of the Dead Sea. Both the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea receive their water from river Jordan. And yet, they are very, very different.
Unlike the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee is pretty, resplendent with rich, colorful marine life. There are lots of plants. And lots of fish too. In fact, the sea of Galilee is home to over twenty different types of fishes. Same region, same source of water, and yet while one sea is full of life, the other is dead. How come? Here apparently why. The River Jordan flows into the Sea of Galilee and then flows out. The water simply passes through the Sea of Galilee in and then out - and that keeps the Sea healthy and vibrant, teeming with marine life. But the Dead Sea is so far below the mean sea level, that it has no outlet. The water flows in from the river Jordan, but does not flow out. There are no outlet streams. It is estimated that over 7 million tons of water evaporate from the Dead Sea every day. Leaving it salty. Too full of minerals. And unfit for any marine life.
The Dead Sea takes water from the River Jordan, and holds it. It does not give. Result? No life at all.

Think about it.

Life is not just about getting. Its about giving. We all need to be a bit like the Sea of Galilee.

We are fortunate to get wealth, knowledge, love and respect. But if we don't learn to give, we could all end up like the Dead Sea.
The love and the respect, the wealth and the knowledge could all evaporate. Like the water in the Dead Sea.
If we get the Dead Sea mentality of merely taking in more water, more money, more everything the results can be disastrous. Good idea to make sure that in the sea of your own life, you have outlets. Many outlets. For love and wealth - and everything else that you get in your life. Make sure you don't just get, you give too. Open the taps. And you'll open the floodgates to happiness.

Make that a habit. To share. To give.

Hopefully, Good bye
Take care

EDUCATION makes a NATION

EDUCATION makes a  NATION

“The  aim  (of  education)  must  be  the  training  of  independently  acting  and  thinking individuals  who,  however,  can  see  in  the  service  to  the  community  their  higher life  achievements.”  Albert  Einstein  rightly  stated  his  concern  regarding  the  quality of  education  which  must  be  rendered  to  the  individuals , so  as  to  instigate  a  sense of  change  and  development  into  them.

Though,  according  to  UNDP,  the  strength  of  a  nation  depends  on  a  rampant growth  of  statistics  like  GDP, GNI,  and  number  of  goods  and  services  produced and  other  socio-economic  factors  yet  human  is  also  an  imperative  facet  which  lays an  infallible  role  in  these  statistics  and  is  also  inextricably  interwoven  in  various development  projects  and  policies,  laid  down  by  various  nations.  Besides,  every nation  is  busy  now ,  instigating  into  their  citizens  quality  education,  which  is directly  proportional  to  the  human  capital  and  can  create  wide  income  inequalities in  the  society.  Adam  smith  rightly  said,”  The  capacities  of   individuals  depend  on their  access  to  education.”

However  in  the  developing  countries  like  India,  the  education  system  has  been improved  in  the  recent  past ,  yet  they  are  trying  to  triumph  the  modern  war  with old  armors.  In  India,  nearly  65  percent  population  is  engaged  in  agriculture  sector  and  most  of  them  are  in  dearth  of  essential  skills  and  knowledge. In contrast,  about  25  percent  of  the  total  population  is  engaged  in  service  sector which  contributes  to  more  than  half  of  the  GDP  as  compare  to  the  agriculture sector  which  added  only  32  percent  in spite  of  having  a  large  workforce  involved in  it.  Thus,  holistic  access  to  quality  education  in  each  sector  can  pilot  a  nation  to  success.

According  to  World  development  report   (1991),  The  overall  goal  of  development is  therefore  to  increase  the  economic ,  political,  social  and  civil  rights  of  the people  across  gender ,  ethnic  groups,  religions,  races,  regions  and countries. However,  International  institutions  like  World  bank,  IMF,  and  UNESCO  have  been consecrating  incessantly   to  provide  help  to  developing  nations  achieving  their educational  goals,  yet  it  is  still  a  substantial  need  for  developing  countries  to augment  the  share  of  their  GDP  in  education  sector  . In  India,  around  3-4  percent  of the  GDP  has  been  spent  on  education  which  is  not  more  than  a  drop  in  the bucket .  Consequently,  this  small  share  ultimately  has  produced  a  chip  on  the shoulder  of   Indian  government  in  the  form  of  poverty,  unemployment,  increasing slums,  lack  of  standard  of  living  of  people  which  is  considered  as  one  of  the major  indicator  of   development   in  Human  development  index  report .

Thus,  Education  has  been  proved  as  an  important  instrument  of  the  machinery  of the  nation.  Now,  there  is  a  need  to  congregate  all  educational  instruments  in  a common  platform  through  proper  education  (subjective  as  well  as  analytical)   and amelioration  of  the  human  resource  management ,  which  only  can  prevent  people from  becoming  programmed  devices  and  instigate  into  them  a  “real  intelligent holistic  human  capability”  and  a  sense  of  development  from  within  “ holistically” to  make  outside  more  developed  and  holistic.

Science versus GOD

Awesome Conversation

Don't miss even a single word... Too good

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....
Prof:-So you believe in God?
Student:-Absolutely, sir.
Prof: -Is God good?
Student:-Sure.
Prof:-Is God all-powerful?
Student: -Yes.
Prof:-My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent.)

Prof:-You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fellow Is God well?
Student:-Yes.
Prof:-Is Satan good?
Student: - No.
Prof:-Where does Satan come from?
Student:-From...God....
Prof:-That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student:-Yes.
Prof:-Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student:-Yes.
Prof:-So who created evil?

(Student does not answer.)

Prof:-Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student:-Yes, sir.
Prof:-So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)

Prof:-Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever
seen God?
Student:-No, sir.

Prof:-Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student:-No, sir.

Prof:-Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student:-No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Prof: -Yet you still believe in Him?
Student:-Yes.

Prof:-According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student:-Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof:-Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student:-Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Prof:-Yes.
Student:-And is there such a thing as cold?

Prof:-Yes.
Student:-No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student-: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it. (There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student:-What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof:-Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student:-You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Prof:-So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student:-Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof:-Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student:-Sir, you are working on the premise of duality You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof:-If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student:-Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student:-Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)
Student:-Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student: - Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof:-I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student:-That is it sir.... The link between man & god is FAITH . That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

NB: I believe you have enjoyed the conversation...and if so...you'll probably want your friends/colleagues to enjoy the same...won't you?.... This is a true story, and the
student was none other than..........APJ Abdul Kalam , the former president of India .
